permanent writing

a small installation for a gallery opening in NYC (somewhere in chelsea...)

the installation was a combination of a smith corona typewriter and a raspberry pi computer setup with an older lcd monitor and 75% mechanical keyboard.

the pi and keyboard were configured to have all but the alphnumeric keys enabled. this would prevent users from accessing the backspace button. the editor used on the lcd was vi in insert mode with all decorations disabled such that the only thing showing would be the letters.
